Day 5 of the Vincent International

 Howdy Lone Stars,

Day 5: The final day of the Ventura leg of the VOC International ended with a bang!

The day’s ride began early at 8:30AM KSU as there was a long day of action planned. The group of Vincents headed south on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) down towards Malibu, then made a left turn east into the Santa Monica Mountains and on to the famed Rock Store on Mulholland Drive. The early departure meant that the daily morning coastal fog was heavy, leading to an eerie ride through the mountains. It was mainly a first and 2nd gear ride for several miles of endlessly winding roads cut into the hillsides. What a thrill!

The fog had lifted by the time we left the Rock Store, exposing magnificent vistas as we reversed the trip down the mountains and back to the PCH.

We got back to the hotel at about 1PM, in time to get cleaned up for the Show and Shine from 2-4. The bikes were all spread out in the parking lot, with the riders moving around ad chatting with other members from all over the world. The Vancouver Section in particular was out in full force and they are always a fun group of enthusiastic folks! See some video of the Show and Shine at the end of the ride video above.

The caravan now moves up north to the town of Cambria, for another 5 days of riding, beginning on Monday 18th. Similar weather is predicted, with sunny afternoons and highs in the upper 60’s, with great roads. Stay tuned for the reports on the action!
